– November 4th is Dr. Taylor’s Inauguration as the 7th President of Gannon University. At 10:30 a.m., the Inaugural Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Cathedral, followed by the official ceremony in the Hammermill Center at 2:00 p.m. There will be a public reception to follow in the Yehl Ballroom until 5:30 p.m.
– All of the Homecoming celebrations take place on November 5th. The parade starts at 9 a.m. along W. 6th Street, with the performances from many clubs and organization taking place in front of the Erie County Courthouse. Make sure you go and cheer on your friends who are competing to win best banner, dance and trailer. At noon, go cheer on the Golden Knights as they take on Slippery Rock in the Homecoming football game. Make sure you have your ticket for the dance later that night at the Zem Zem Shrine club. There will be buses by the Gannon Arch that night to take you to the dance.
– If you’re looking to come to Gannon to study the health sciences, make sure you visit on November 11th for the Day with the Dean of Health Professions. Starting at 11:00 a.m., come learn about Gannon’s programs and meet some of your future professors. If you can’t make it then, the Office of Admissions will have their Saturday visit the next day, November 12th and November 19th.
– On Friday, November 18th, the Activities Programming Board is bringing Brian O’Sullivan to Club LaRiccia. The singing guitarist/ comedian will be performing at 7:00 p.m. That weekend, APB will be bringing the movie “The Help” to campus. The movie will play at 8 p.m. on Saturday and 4 p.m. on Sunday for $1.
Of course, there’s always more to do on campus. Don’t be afraid to get out of your room and explore November!
