APB’s annual concert revealed: Timeflies

If you’ve been bustling about campus since the beginning of the semester, you may have come across a bizarre sign. These cryptic signs feature a picture of a clock and a vague message reading, “They’re Coming.” While the poster seems somewhat threatening, it’s actually an advertisement for Gannon University’s upcoming spring concert.

With concerts occurring on campus every other year, it’s a big deal when performing artists come to Gannon. Past artists to come to Gannon include Andy Grammar, Jack’s Mannequin, The Fray and Jason Derulo. Students anxiously tried to figure out the performing artist, but APB kept the identity under wraps until the concert reveal on Friday, Jan. 31.

The big reveal took place in the Knight Club with a multitude of campus organizations present for the event. In addition to the concert being revealed, APB provided raffles to win prizes, such as an iPad and free food as well.

This year the musical group performing at Gannon University is the electro-hip hop group Timeflies, with special guest Mike Stud. The group is most famous for their singles “I Choose U” and “Never Grow Up,” featuring Mike Stud. Timeflies performs high-energy shows designed to please all types of music fanatics. “I’m very excited for the concert this year! It’s going to be a big hit for everyone!” says Carl Stofko, member of APB.

Tickets for Timeflies with Mike Stud go on sale for Gannon students for a reduced rate of $13 from Jan. 31 through Feb. 15.  After this, tickets are on sale for $15 for Gannon students or $20 for general public until April 27.  The concert is set to perform in Hammermill on April 28 at 7:30 PM.
